Surprising Best Sellers
One of the things I love about Squiggle and Bean is the range of soft toys we have - from "classic cuddly toys" to quirky and unusual.
I pick patterns I love, and hope that you will too. But I have found these are not always as popular as I thought they might be. I have one customer who just nails it! She will ask for a toy I don't yet make, and you guys love her choices! So a big thank you needs to go out to her as these popular toys wouldn't be in the range if it wasn't for her and her brilliant choices!
First up is Willow the Woodlouse. I have a really fun Mini Beast range which includes the classics - bee, butterfly and ladybird. I don't think I would have even considered a woodlouse but look how awesome it is:
I don't know what it is about this woodlouse - the smile, the shape, the bow - but it is brilliant! So easy to love, and such a unique toy.

Next up is Ralph the Raccoon. Perhaps not quite as unusual but not an animal we often come across in the UK. Much more likely to see a badger. I do have a cute badger toy and have just purchased a pattern for another one in a very different style, which I can't wait to make. But this raccoon is fab; cheeky and playful.
Interestingly, two orders for raccoons were Valentines Presents, I love that!

The third toy I wanted to show you is Gavin the Goat. He is currently the 2023 best seller, although its only April at the moment! I have added quite a few new farm animals to the collection this year but this one is the stand out toy. He is a gorgeous colour and looks so gentle and cuddly.
Look at his face! The huge ears help add to the cuteness as well!

The final toy I am going to share with you surprised me the most: Macy the Magpie. I had no idea so many people liked magpies! I do have a wide range of bird toys, which have varied in popularity, but this magpie is highly favoured. The colours are great - the bright blue contrasted against the monochrome.
So tell me, what is about magpies that you all love? I know they have a bad reputation - those thieves! - but they are beautiful birds, and this is a gorgeous toy.

These sweet magpies have been a wedding present, isn't that cool?! All our toys can be personalised and customised, and I really like getting requests for toys I don't yet make. So what is missing from the Squiggle and Bean range? Let me know in the comments!
